For those who care, I got a drawing into Science (McHenry et al., 2005 "Bottom Feeding Plesiosaurs" - Congrats to Colin McHenry and co)... pretty excited about that. Its the small pencil pic in the bottom corner. I was pleased with the drawing (when blown up to full size, bit hard to see in the article!), but had to do a really fast colour version for the media release - watercolour - not very experienced at that, and very rushed. The colour version anded up on ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission) Online, National Geographic Online, Sydney Morning Herald... and last but not least Oceans of Kansas! Only days earlier I'd been using Dan Varner's artwork from that site to help me get the underwater look (ended up quite different, dif media afterall) and next thing I know my art's up along side his. That being said, I wasn't entirely happy with the water colour, and think I'll try an acrylic version to satisfy myself.
I can't post a link here or display the pic, but go check SCIENCE online ARCHIVES, 7th OCT for the article.
Here's a link to the Oceans of Kansas site:

... now working on a Nature illustration....
This time a line drawing done in Photoshop (traced a pencil sketch) - first real Photoshop attempt other than the crap I've stuck in my gallery here. Can't say anything about it till it gets published - just finished it. Great to finaly get paid a decent rate!
